This Mid-Century Modern fish is made from exotic woods including Wenge, Padauk and Canary Wood.
This gorgeous fish is made primarily from Black Limba and Padauk exotic woods, featuring a bright orange glass eye.
The type on this guy is from a page taken out of an old Japanese rice paper book, decoupaged onto the fish. His lower half is, fittingly, made from a process called “Sho Sugi Ban,” a treatment with fire was used to waterproof wood.

This is a 1.25” steel ball bearing that clunks with great purpose down the zig-zag track, then races back to the “lift,” where it lands with a satisfying thud, ready for another round.
This and the picture that follows are part of a mesmerizing continuous motion rolling ball track.

Along with the following pics, this shows an element of an elaborate rolling ball sculpture, reminiscent of Rube Goldberg machines. Drop a marble into the snake’s mouth and it begins a circuitous journey to the bottom along one of four possible tracks.
The tiny skulls are Tibetan Prayer Beads, the rest of the temple and the s-s-s-SNAKES!! are Polymer Clay. Tiny birds: Enter if you dare!
I made one of these for my garden and have since had two nrequests from Instagram followers for the same birdhouse, this is the third model, and easily my favorite

As part of my “Hang Your Art in the Garden” series, this one pokes a little fun at Rene Magritte, who is undoubtedly rolling over in his grave as I type!
